On June 19, 2013, Northeastern University hosted the second annual Symposium on Water Innovation in Massachusetts, or SWIM. The event brought Massachusetts businesses, policy makers, and academics together to explore opportunities to spur innovation and leadership in the emerging clean water industry. Deval Patrick summed up the symposium by saying “What we’re trying to do is marry brain power, our natural resource, with commerce, through innovation.
